Happy New Year, Everyone!!! Brym is on the move to start off 2025 with strong momentum and ready for action.
Hard to believe that we’ve been on the ground in 23 countries over 3 years, building connections for the next phase of Brym. Let’s dive in!
To get us started… Highlights (More info on all of this coming soon!):
🌍 Our Global Working Group, over the last two years, has become an amazing youth coalition working together on ideas for locally led projects that can learn from global perspectives. Our first year was spent getting to know each other. Our second, digging into projects together… we are excited to present more soon on our three first ever projects incubated by our global leadership team and funded by Brym.
💸 Our (first ever) Global Fund will support these projects proposed and led by the Global Working Group members. Our Fund is Democratically Structured & Disbursed with Global Working Group members voting on the structure of the capital and the distribution of funds across projects.
🤝 We’ve evolved our Sustainable Business Model through partnerships with amazing organizations like the Urban Future Lab, Dollaride, Collective Energy, and Raise Green, recently acquired by Honeycomb! Brym also was onboarded as an ‘Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) for NYSERDA to support startups in New York focused on environmental solutions.
🎤 Our Storytelling Platform will continue to offer opportunities to learn about and contribute to global efforts combatting climate change across the world. We will also start to experiment with other forms of storytelling beyond just written and audio. Keep an eye out for our first short videos soon.
Find & Build Your Communities of Resistance
With the inauguration of Trump as US President tomorrow, our world will certainly enter a new political, social, and economic reality. In many ways, it feels like Brym has been preparing for this moment in time.
We will continue building towards global coalitions and networks, towards global understanding and peace between different groups of people, and towards new sustainable worlds. We are very thankful to be in the trenches with all of you.
As we enter into 2025, Brym will open the opportunity for readers of our Substack, those who are willing and able, to give financial support directly to Brym’s initiatives. This will be directed towards a combination of internal Team Operations + Brym’s first ever Global Fund!!! We will be sharing more soon about our first funded projects so stay tuned.
